CBM Training, a SA leader in the supply of short duration
training courses, runs an annual Management Trainee Scholarship
program, valued at more than R34, 000 is now open for
applications.
CBM Training's Management Trainee Scholarship consists of a
suite of managerial development training courses and is offered to
one PDI candidate per year.
The application criteria for the scholarship are:
- That the applicant be from a Previously Disadvantaged
group.
- That they have been in full time employment with their current
company for a minimum of one year.
The scholarship will consist of 6 short duration training
courses - each 1-2 days in length - that will run during the course
of 2011 and will empower the successful student with the necessary
practical business and managerial skills to ensure their
advancement in their chosen profession.
These courses in the scholarship have been carefully selected to
provide maximum benefit to the candidate and will be completely
free of charge. The courses are:
- Professional Business Writing Skills (2-days)
- Practical Confidence and Assertiveness Skills (2-Day)
- The Orientation to Management Program (3-Days)
- Finance, Accounts and Budgets for Non-Financial Managers
(2-Day)
- Powerful, Flexible and winning Negotiation Techniques
(2-Day)
- Managing with Intent with Ian Mann (1-Day)

This CBM Training scholarship will cover the course costs,
lunches on the day, full course documentation and certificates of
attendance. The candidate will be responsible for their own travel
to the course venue and arranging leave with their company.
Closing date for applications is 30th September 2011, and the

The CBM Training secretarial scholarship consists of a suite of
6 secretarial development training courses, valued at over R19,900.
This scholarship will be awarded annually to one successful
candidate.
The application criteria for this scholarship are as
follows:
- The applicant must be from a Previously Disadvantaged
Group.
- The applicant must currently be working as a Secretary, PA,
Receptionist or Administrative Assistant.
- The applicant must have been in full time employment with their
organisation for a minimum of 1 year.
The scholarship will consist of 6 short duration training
courses - each 1-2 days in length - that will run during the course
of 2011 and will empower the successful student with the necessary
practical business and secretarial skills to ensure their
advancement in their chosen profession.
Each of the selected scholarship courses has been carefully
selected to provide maximum benefit to the scholar and will be
completely free of charge. The Suite of Secretarial Development
Courses are:
- Key Skills for Highly Effective Secretaries and PAs.
- Business Writing for Secretaries and PAs.
- Finance Accounts and Budgets for Administrative Assistants,
Secretaries and PAs.
- A Secretary's Guide to Meetings and Minute Taking.
- A Secretary's Guide to Preparing Powerful Presentations with MS
PowerPoint.
- The Effective Executive Secretary / PA.

The CBM Training Secretarial Scholarship will cover the course
